What is a tornado? It seems few are able to tell us, regardless of the untold billions of dollars spent to date to find out. I would surmise that a tornado is in reality some type of electrical event – albeit a possible result of geomagnetic or even extraterrestrial events or occurrences. Though as to what ‘nature’ of electricity might be present in tornados, I can only begin to guess. Nevertheless, I would go so far to postulate that a tornado is some type of sustained lightening bolt representing some type of sustained electrical discharge from the atmosphere to the earth (or maybe vise versa). Some may scoff at my suggestions as it seems that few – if any – share my opinion. But it would be interesting to learn what actually is a tornado, when the ‘researchers’ answer this question several generations from now. Because, it seems none of the ‘researchers’ are currently even considering what I am saying herein.

PS. I would like to visit the lightening storm regions of northern Canada; where, I am told, they also have many tornados.

Weak Signals of Late

The last few days, measured readings taken in a 'snap shot' type of manner, have been considerably weaker than the signals measured over the last several weeks. I am unsure if the latest signals are weak or the earlier signals were abnormally strong (as I had been away for some time). I'm thinking the latter is more likely, actually. Because, as I recall, the latest signals are more in keeping with the typical readings over the last few years. Though such weak signals may only be a result of the somewhat cold spell of late (Last night Santa Monica reportedly had a record low temperature - somewhere in the low 40's deg F.)

Barometer readings over the last 24 hours: down from 29.95 to 29.80 to 29.85 inHg and now rising.

Strong Signals of Late

The atmospheric conditions/signals I monitor in this effort have been abnormally strong during the last two months or so. Of course, I don't really know why this is so, but I suspect maybe the predictions of a La Nina type of winter may have something to do with it all. However, every once in a while, like today, the signals seem to weaken considerably. So I went and attempted to take a snapshot of the conditions. While the conditions seemed abit odd as to directionals, the energy levels seemed to be more or less where they typically have been over much of the last few years. I suspect the stronger levels seen over recent time will likely return in a few days. Again, I don't really know why this all happens or if the changing strength levels have any great relevance to anything over the interior continent - as I don't have the proper equipment to monitor the situation full time. All I know to do is to ask the questions: Why does this happen? What does it really mean?

Monitored Readings Dropped This Evening.

Though I was unable to take atmospheric readings at my usual and preferred location, it appears that the typically monitored conditions (monitored as part of my predictive theory) dropped off their normally strong levels of late – which would not be a good thing per my hypothesis. I have been monitoring these signals as I am able for the last six weeks, or so. However, I am not sure of the true comparison of historic readings with the latest reduced reading as the latest reading was not acquired at the preferred and usual monitoring location. I am unsure if this latest reading is a result of the Fall storm passing through SoCal or something else is afoot in the atmosphere.
Barometer reading 29.96 inHg (approx. @ sea level, with the barometric pressure slightly rising and falling all day but more or less holding steady) - per my latest internet source of such barometric information.

Joplin , Missouri.

As I am in Joplin, Missouri, today, I wanted to be clear and specifically and explicitly pass along my sympathies and condolences to those affected by the recent deadly tornadoes in Joplin this past May – especially to those that lost loved ones.
Also, I viewed some of the devastation of your town. I can feel your pain. If I could do anything to help you in this plight or to help you avoid any such grief, I would. Let’s hope that the tornado researchers will progress the knowledge of tornadic storms to the point whereby no one will ever have to suffer from these storms to such an extent as the good people of Joplin, Missouri have suffered from this latest calamity. Let’s hope and pray we all gain strength from this catastrophic experience.

Tornadoes in Massachusetts – and so am I.

Today, deadly tornadoes preceded my visit to Massachusetts by a few hours. I hereby wish to send my condolences to the families of those killed by these recent tornadic storms – in addition to forwarding my condolences to any and all who may have ever lost loved ones to this type of natural phenomena, be any such loss a result of other recent tornadoes during this most difficult of years for these storms or anytime through the ages.

Tornado in City of Philadelphia, PA
Fox 29 (WTXF, Fox 29 News at 10) in Philadelphia and the NWS are reporting that an F-0 ("F-0," "F-Zero") tornado touched down in Northeast Philadelphia a few hours ago. Other than destroying some roofs (a beer/liquor distributorship), making a mess, and causing some general havoc, no injuries were reported. Winds were reported to be in excess of 75 miles an hour, the tornado was reported to be 30 to 50 feet wide, and the tornado survived on the ground for a duration of approximately 20 seconds. Being in the greater Phila. area this evening, and as they seemed to have done several times in the past, maybe the tornado gods were saying hello to me in their own special way? :)
