January 2nd, 2011; Sunday.
This past Thursday a reported massive fish kill was discovered in the Arkansas River – with an estimated 100,000 drum fish dead. The next night (Friday, New Year's Eve) a reported 1000 to 5000 red-winged black birds fell dead from the sky. No one knows the reason for either massive animal death toll or if the two events are related.
In between the massive animal-death related events, on Friday morning Arkansas also unfortunately experienced several deadly tornadoes - as did other areas and states in the path of the widespread and potentially tornadic storms. The resulting tornadic storms were quite widespread and particularly unusual and "rare" as they were considered to be "off-season" tornadic storms. (BTW, for whatever such might be worth, I am on the east coast and unable to monitor my tornado research/prediction ideas – due to no funds nor properly located equipment.) No one knows if the tornadoes are related to the animal deaths either. (However, not to appear as self-serving, but such animal-death related events could fit my potential tornado formation model, please forgive me as I believe such is also worth mentioning.) Regardless, I hereby wish to forward my sincere condolences to the victims and their families.
We can only wonder what is happening with any of these events or if we will ever know the truth of these matters. No officials have even surmised that the tornadoes could be related to the animal deaths, from the sources that I have read to this point in time. In reality, of course, I can barely begin to hypothesize any definite answer as to the timing of these events either.
However, as much as I hate to even insinuate such, if our government officials knew what was happening with these animal-death related events or if there was - in fact - any correlation between the events other than being a possible result/precursor of the tornadoes, could we trust them tell us? Then again, maybe the answer is not available to, nor will it come from any bureaucrat.

This evening, Philadelphia's WCAU Channel 10 News at 11 reported and quoted Arkansas Fish & Game/Wildlife Officials as saying that the massive animal-death related events are probably unrelated. I would respond that they are most likely related but in a manner that these officials either don't understand or don't want us/the public to know. What say you, blog reader/America?

“Tornado Alley USA,” A Note I Posted on the Travel Channel's Website.
November 8th, 2010
Concerning your television show “Tornado Alley USA,” I appreciate your airing of the quality tornado film footage but I think your show is ultimately in poor taste. Thrill seekers chasing tornadoes for excitement spells nothing but a disaster waiting to happen, in my opinion. Also, it appears as though you and the thrill seekers look to enjoy an excitement that is likely to equate as devastation to others. As such, again, I believe your show to be in poor taste and essentially profiteering on the likely misfortune of others that may have their lives ruined by the very tornadoes which equate to merely a thrill for your show’s tornado-seeking tourists and tour guides. Please respond with any comments you may have on the matters herein, if you would be so kind.
Sincerely,
Adam V. Trotter

Tornado Tamer Google Group
At the request of an interested party from Columbus, Ohio, I have started a Google Group as a forum to speak of alternative theories of tornado formations and to discuss tornadic experiences as well.

Tornado Warnings in Massachusetts and New Hampshire
July 21st, 2010
There were tornado warnings tonight in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I could see a very large and active thunderstorm lighting up the sky to the north. This storm looked nearly as big and as active as any that I have seen in the middle of the summer out on the Great Plains. It was an impressive and powerful looking storm.
Funnel clouds and damage in the Massachusetts area reported last evening were determined not to be tornadic, btw.
