Signals have been all over the place of late.  In for a while.  Out for a while a little later.  I suspect this could be due to the passing cold front.  But I’m not really so sure anymore – though I believe such is likely the case, this time anyhow.

No Sooner Than I Think...

No sooner than I think I know where it's at, someone moves it.  Like..., no longer like 'normal' strengths tonight.  SD weak.  SB trying to be heard in the other than usual places.  Even the other SB is trying to slightly interject.  But lets see..., where did that barometer get off too...?

Been Back to Normal for a Few Days

The signals have returned to 'normal' for the last couple of days or so.  Like I've said in the past, they are never exactly as one would expect, nevertheless.  But I haven't blogged about it 'cause the site I have always used to get barometer readings has since changed and I am now unfamiliar with the new format of the site - and I hate allowing sites to run scripts on any computer that I am using, so it all kind'a deflated the wind from my sails for a few days.  That site looks easier for the mainstream to use and even more fun, but I'm not sure with regards to my wants/usage of it.  But the site is still making changes and I sent them a comment, so we'll see what shakes out. Access to historical barometer readings seems at a premium these days as so few weather folks on the live airways ever report the barometer anymore.  I suppose maybe that's because so few actually know what the barometer readings actually mean anymore either, maybe anyhow.

The signals have been weaker this evening than what is ‘normal’ of late despite the fact that the pressure is rising.  However, if a high pressure system is approaching such could explain the weaker SD signals and the concurrent strong SB signals with the specifics merely being of a directional nature. It should be noted that the ‘weakened signals’ of which I blog are not nearly as weak as days of yore when I first noticed weak signals despite no approaching storm which would seem to predate storms in the Heartland.  But back in those days I did not chronicle any unusual signals as I was then first becoming aware of the phenomena or any potential correlation be it merely perceived or otherwise.  Nevertheless, the signals this evening are weakened with the pressure rising.

A Programmatic Note

Should anyone care to know, of late I have sort of taken to ‘micro-blogging’ of sorts – for any number of reasons.  I do this ‘micro-blogging’ on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/, specifically at:  https://www.facebook.com/adam.trotter.5 , or “adam.trotter.5” on Facebook, or something like that); and I will likely continue to do so for the indefinite future or however long Facebook should choose to allow me to do so – or until whenever for something different for a while.  

Notably, I have historically been resistant to linking/pointing from my blogs to my Facebook account/profile/page.  But of late, as I said, I have sort of taken to ‘micro-blogging’ thereon.  I will still blog here though as well – again, should anyone care.  Actually, many of my Facebook posts are/were sort of a cataloging of my blog ideas that I might/planned to revisit and expand into full-length blog entries here on Blogger/Blogspot (www.blogger.com , [blog name].blogspot.com).  But anyway, Facebook is kind of fun and I can often more quickly cover more ground there also (maybe).  So, feel free and welcome to check out my thoughts there on Facebook – again, should anyone care to.  You can comment all you want there on Facebook as well.  But, worthy of note and maybe ironically, I don’t really do the friend thing there all that much – as I sort of think of ‘friends’ as a personal issue.  But all are welcome to review my posts that are posted for public review – of which the majority of posts/entries are posted for the public (or whomever).  But also remember all are welcome to come back here to this blog on blogger (http://tornadotamer.blogspot.com/) to check out my thoughts here too – but I actually often note any new blogger blog entries on Facebook too, but not always.

After thought (April 2021)

Since the majority of social media such as Facebook and Twitter have taken to capriciously censoring some expressed thoughts while allowing others with which those who control those platforms might agree, I no longer look to express many thoughts of any substance on those platforms.  Freedom of expression seems more under attack than ever before.

Signals Appear as ‘Normal’

Went out to check the signals last night.  Everything appeared as normal here.  Generally strong signals with little disturbances.  Don’t know if I missed anything over the last several days here.  I was somewhat out of commission, unfortunately.

Tornadoes wreak havoc across US Midwest (This youtube link is reportedly from the recent storms of the last day or so. I sure wouldnt want to see that outside my window heading for me or my people's/friend's houses - unless it were totally contained and under control, as if we were using it to generate electricity or the likes!  My best wishes and condolences to those that suffered any loss or injuries.)
